Follow these steps to register, obtain your API key, and select an appropriate subscription plan from APIVoid:

Registration

  1. Visit the VirusTotal registration page: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/join-us.
  2. You can register by providing your email or use one of your existing accounts like Google, Twitter, GitHub, or Microsoft to sign up.
  3. Complete the registration process, verify your email (if needed), and log in to your new VirusTotal account.

Accessing Your API Key

  1. Once logged in, navigate to the top-right corner of the page where your profile name or image is displayed.
  2. Click on your profile name or image to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Select the "API Key" option from the dropdown menu.

Retrieving Your API Key

  1. On the API Key page, you’ll find your API key. It will initially be blurred out.
  2. To reveal your API key, click on the "eye" icon. Alternatively, you can directly click the "copy" icon located next to the eye to copy the key to your clipboard.

Important Considerations

  • Your API key grants access to VirusTotal’s features, so ensure it remains secure and isn’t shared publicly.
  • VirusTotal’s services are subject to its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Be sure to review them for compliance.
