Registration

  1. Visit the IP2Location website: https://www.ip2location.io/.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the "Sign up for free" button.
  3. You can either sign up using your email or use your Google/GitHub account for quick registration.
  4. Complete the registration process and log in to your new IP2Location account.

Accessing Your Dashboard and API Key

  1. Once logged in, click on your profile in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. From the dropdown menu, select "Dashboard".
  3. In your dashboard, you will find your API Key.
  4. Copy the API key by either highlighting it manually or using the provided "Copy" button.

Selecting a Subscription Plan

  1. IP2Location offers various subscription options depending on your usage needs. You can view these plans by navigating to the "Subscription" section under your profile or directly by visiting IP2Location Subscriptions.
  2. When choosing a plan, consider:
    • The estimated number of API queries you’ll need.
    • Access to additional features depending on your plan.
  3. Select the plan that best suits your use case, whether it’s for personal, business, or advanced usage.

Important Considerations

  • Keep your API key secure and do not share it publicly.
  • Review IP2Location's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before using their services.
  • Be mindful of the API usage limits according to your subscription plan.
